C.E. LUIS MIGUEL ARROYO YLLANES
C.E. Luis Miguel Arroyo Yllanes graduated as a Civil Engineer from Universidad La Salle in 1982. He studied courses in structural engineering in the Postgraduate Studies Division of Faculty of Engineering at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He is currently Professor of Strenght of Materials and of Project & Construction Management.
He has been a Project Management Professional since 2001, is an active member of the Project Management Institute Mexican chapter, and is certified as a BlackBelt in MsProject 2007.
Professionally C.E. Arroyo has held the following positions:
From January 1992 to present day he occupies the position of CEO of EMSI, S.A. de C.V., EMSI PROFESIONISTAS ASOCIADOS, S.C. y EMSI ELECTROMECANICA, S.A. de C.V., enterprises dedicated to providing engineering services for the construction industry.
From 1999 to present day he has been a Senior Consultant at the International Institute for Learning, a leading global corporation dedicated to project management training and consulting. He has participated in training and consulting programs in major corporations such as: CODETEL, BANAMEX-CITIGROUP, PEMEX, SHELL, GRUPO BIMBO, CORPORACION GEO, ICA VIVIENDA, ICA INTERNATIONAL, GRUPO MARHNOS, GRUPO ANGELES, etc., in Spain, the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Panama, Chile, and Argentina.
From July 1984 to December 1991 he worked in Grupo Riobóo, S.A. de C.V., holding the following positions:
Deputy General Manager for the Group, directly reporting to the Presidency. Under this position he was directly responsible for directing, coordinating, and technical-administrative supervision of major construction projects such as: educational institutions, hospital installations, financial centers, hotels, shopping malls, and industrial plants, for significant clients such as: Bancomer, Banco Nacional de México, 3M de México, American Telephone & Telegraph (México), Laboratorios Syntex, Minería de San Luís, El Palacio de Hierro, Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, Consejo Administrador del Programa Federal de Construcción de Escuelas (CAPFCE), Secretaria de Salud, Departamento del Distrito Federal, Instituto Politécnico Nacional, Fondo Nacional de Fomento al Turismo, among others.
Engineering General Manager of Ingeniería Rioboo, S.A. de C.V., with direct reporting to the Group’s General Management.
General Project Coordinator, in the construction of the Nikko-Mexico Hotel, with direct reporting to the General Deputy Management of Grupo Riobóo.
From June 1981 to December 1983 he worked as a Structural Engineer, Professional, Engineering Assistant, in some public dependencies and private engineering services firms.
